Junior Software Engineer - AI-Native Engineering Team

OakNorth is seeking Junior Software Engineers to join its AI-native engineering team, which consists of small, highly autonomous pods. This role is designed for recent graduates or early-career developers who are passionate about AI and its application in a regulated financial environment. Key Responsibilities: - Researching emerging AI tools, frameworks, and coding methods. - Experimenting with new approaches and validating technical feasibility. - Identifying operational bottlenecks and redesigning them using AI-native solutions. - Rapidly prototyping using tools like Claude Code, Cursor, Copilot, and Codex, and then deploying them into live environments. - Testing and comparing emerging AI tools for business impact. - Contributing to AI governance, standards, and best practices. Key Skills: - Strong understanding of software development principles and system design. - Fluency in AI coding tools such as Claude Code, Cursor, Copilot, Codex, and ChatGPT. - Experience with Python and API integrations. - Curiosity, initiative, and a passion for exploring new technologies.
