Product Designer (Design+Code/Vibe Coding) - TikTok UX (San Jose)
About this role
About The Team TikTok UX team is responsible for the product design of the TikTok app, with ownership over Core app infrastructure, Social, Search, and Creation areas. Responsibilities - Design intuitive product experiences and bring them to life through working prototypes. - Use coding and AI tools (e.g., Vibe Coding, AI coding assistants) to rapidly turn product ideas into interactive prototypes that bridge design and engineering. - Translate product concepts into functional experiences, reducing the gap between design exploration and real product behavior. - Identify UX improvement opportunities across social interaction, content creation, or AI-driven workflows. - Collaborate closely with product managers and engineers on product direction and shipping. Minimum Qualifications - 3+ years of product design experience for mobile or web products. - Strong visual and interaction design skills. - Ability to code prototypes or lightweight product features (e.g., HTML/CSS/JS, React, Swift, or similar). - Experience using AI coding tools or Vibe Coding workflows. - Strong product thinking and problem-solving ability. Preferred Qualifications - Production-quality UI building or shipped side projects. - Experience working on AI-driven product experiences or agent-based workflows. - Experience with social products or creator tools. - Passion for TikTok and creator communities. Compensation Base salary range: $103,680 - $230,280 annually. Actual compensation is based on individual qualifications, skill set, experience, and relevant education or training. The listed compensation is the range for this position in the selected city only. TikTok total compensation includes cash compensation, long-term incentives, and benefits. Benefits TikTok offers benefits including medical insurance, dental insurance, vision insurance, disability insurance, life insurance, 401(k) matching, parental leave, wellbeing benefits, 10 paid holidays per year, 10 paid sick days per year, and 17 paid personal/vacation days per year (pro-rated for the first year).
